DESERT BABES
so this is the new year . (cue death cab)
it's hard to believe! 2016 held so many wonderful, incredible, breath taking things . utterly showed in blessings and i'm so grateful . i enjoyed it so much, i'm genuinely sad its over . i think i'm always a little sad when a year ends . probably the ENFP in me, but i can't help but be sad when moments or seasons of life end, good or bad . i cherish them and it's hard to let them go . but i'm also so stoked for 2017 . good lord it's going to be epic . i'll do another blog post soon to talk more about what 2017 holds and my goals, dreams, and how i truly want to get to know you guys better .
but today, as my first blog post of 2017, i wanted to post this shoot from august 2016 . josh and i got the opportunity to go to Heck Yeah Photo Camp, an educational retreat for photographers and got to be the models for dozens of super talented photographers . but after the retreat ended, i went out with a few of the girls and got to shoot this handsome couple out in Joshua Tree! i swear Joshua Tree was like the most coveted place to shoot in 2016, next to Iceland . Iceland is always goals . but I'm not surprised! Joshua Tree's light, vibes, textures, and aesthetics are just so fun to shoot in . it's rich, but calm . muted and deserted (obvi) .
todd + elena were the perfect pair to shoot out there . elena is just a friggin mermaid goddess and i loved photographing her vibey + moody self .
